Stephen Fitzpatrick

Stephen Fitzpatrick is an entrepreneur who believes business has a crucial role to play in creating a zero carbon world. In 2009, he founded OVO Energy, which is committed to eliminating its own carbon emissions and helping its customers to reach net zero emissions at home by 2030. 

Stephen launched Kaluza ten years later, and continues to advise the company as a board member.

Melissa Gander

CEO of energy software business Kaluza, Melissa has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector and a clear vision for the role of technology in the energy transition. At Kaluza, Melissa leads the business in delivering advanced automation, world-leading customer experiences and innovative demand response services to energy companies around the world. 

Prior to Kaluza, Melissa was a key member of UK energy company OVO's launch team in 2009, where she spearheaded award-winning customer service operations, contributing to OVO's disruption of the UK market. Transitioning to OVO Group’s Chief Operating Officer in 2019, Melissa played a key role in the operational and technical integration of 3.5 million customer accounts following a landmark acquisition. Melissa graduated in Economics from Sheffield University.

Neel Gulhar

Neel Gulhar is Kaluza’s Chief Product Officer and is responsible for leading the productization of the business’ pioneering SaaS solutions. Neel has over twenty years’ experience in product development, B2B SaaS marketing and utility platforms. 

He has a particular interest and depth in the burgeoning demand response market and decarbonising global energy needs. Previous to Kaluza, Neel was Vice President of Product at Oracle and Senior Director of Product Marketing at Opower where he helped lead the high-growth SaaS company to IPO and acquisition. Neel has extensive knowledge of the utility sector having spent over a decade working for US majors Exelon and Baltimore Gas & Electric. 

Travers Clarke-Walker

Travers has over 25 years of experience in scaling technology businesses at the forefront of innovation and on a mission to transform critical sectors. 

Prior to joining advanced energy platform Kaluza, Travers served as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at Fintech pioneer Thought Machine where he spearheaded its growth from seed to unicorn status enabling the digital transformation of world-leading banks. He has deep roots in energy having launched EDF Energy in the UK where he led the acquisition of over 1 million new customers per year as Sales and Marketing Director.

Matt Johnson

Matt joined Kaluza in July 2021, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge from the retail and supply markets following his role as Deputy CFO at OVO Energy, the UK’s third largest energy supplier. 

With over 10 years of experience in the energy sector working in both the UK and Australia, Matt qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in 2006 and holds a BSc from the University of Bristol in Economics and Economic History.

Sara Brooks

Sara Brooks is Chief Growth Officer at Kaluza, where she leads the company’s global strategy to unlock new markets, scale partnerships and accelerate product innovation. 

With over 20 years of experience growing B2B SaaS companies across Europe and North America, Sara brings deep expertise in commercial strategy and international expansion. Prior to joining Kaluza, she served as Co-CEO of AI-powered energy platform Zoa, helping lead its acquisition by Centrica. She was previously VP of Sales at fintech unicorn Pleo, where she scaled commercial teams across six markets and delivered 20x revenue growth.

Jim MacDougall

Jim MacDougall is Chief People Officer at Kaluza, where he leads global people strategy, culture and operations. 

With more than two decades of HR leadership across high-growth technology companies, including Amazon, Revolut and Proximie, Jim is a specialist in building scalable, people-first organisations. He has led global HR systems rollouts, organisational design and cultural transformation across diverse markets, helping businesses unlock performance and talent at pace. Prior to joining Kaluza, he served as CPO at health tech scale-up Proximie, supporting rapid international expansion through agile people operations.

Jonathan Levy

Jonathan Levy is Managing Director for the United States and Japan at Kaluza. Jonathan has an impressive track record spanning over two decades in the U.S. clean energy sector. Most recently, Jonathan was Chief Commercial Officer at EVgo, one of the largest electric vehicle (EV) charging networks in the U.S. In that role, he played a pivotal role in driving the company's top-line growth and building key relationships with automakers, utilities, white label commercial partners and public policy stakeholders. 

Prior to joining EVgo, Jonathan was Director of Policy and Strategy at a sustainable investing firm in Colorado and started his career in Washington DC in public service, working both for a member of Congress and in a variety of positions in President Obama's Administration, including as Deputy Chief of Staff to the U.S. Secretary of Energy. A Chicago native, Jonathan graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with a B.A. in Political Science.
